Great chair for my situation
My son loves these chairs and I’m going to purchase an elevated one for the shop.

I Love the chair I received. I made a mistake in not ordering the Chair that raise to the higher position. 🤔☹️ I will use it anyway because I cannot invest that much again to get the one I really wanted. Nothing against the Chair I received. Like I said it is everything you said it was It is the best build Chair I have ever seen. The assembly was simple and the directions were well displayed. I'm an 81 year old male, 6-0, 200 pounds in fairly good physical shape, except for some back problems. Putting air in my truck's tires required more bending than I would have liked and was in pain with some loss of mobility for the next three days. I tried three cheaper shop stools but none of them were very substantial. I decided to give Vyper a chance and ordered the Robust Steel Max (Ez -Lift). The package the ROBUST STEEL MAX (EZ-LIFT) was in showed up in a reasonable time. I found that all the parts were there, checking it against the parts list in the instructions. There are lots of bolts and nuts, different sizes, each size comes in its own bag. Unfortunately, none of them have a description in the instructions but the diagrams in the instructions list the part numbers of everything, including the nuts and bolts, that correspond with the part numbers on each bag; the description is on the bag along with the part numbers. I found watching the assembly video a great guide in what size nuts/bolts are being used to connect what together. This would be easier to deal with if the instructions used a LARGER font so a magnifying glass hadn't been needed. Assembly took around an hour. Nothing was difficult although tightening the nuts and bolts sometimes took a bit more force than I thought they would. I called Vyper twice and spoke to Ryan and Stephanie, both knowledgeable, very pleasant and extremely helpful. They took as much time as was needed and didn't try to rush to get to the next call as a lot of customer service people tend to do. The day after assembly was completed, I needed to put air in one of my cars. I sat on the chair, easily locked the two locking wheels (I was on a driveway with a moderate incline), put air into the tires as needed, easily released the locks on the wheels and easily rolled to the next tire until all four had the correct amount of air. What a difference using my new Vyper made! The seat went up and down effortlessly and the wheels moved smoothly and bumped over the air hose with no problem. Best of all, no back pain when I was done.
Great chair. I struggled with which height to buy and almost bought one of each sine there was a significant savings if you bought both together. I made a mistake when I only bought one. I should have grabbed them both.
Packaging was flawless. All parts individually packaged for easy identification during assembly. Only thing I would change is to package the seat back better. If you were to be careless with a box cutter you could accidentally cut the seat back as it was loose in the box up near the top of the box. Glad I carefully used a box cutter in case this was the case which it was.
Fedx delivers it, took about 45 minutes to put together, wow this thing looks really well made, looks great in the red, Roll TIDE! Anyway got it together and rolling around and working on my zero turn, lot’s better than my old chair! Way better!! Will probably get picked first when I kick the bucket 😂 Would like to see a wider backrest but all and all just a great chair ❤️
What a fantastic quality shop chair! It completely exceeded my expectations. From the excellent cushions down to the grade 8 hardware, this thing is stout. I purchased the Ultimate EZ Lift Package with the taller chair & shorter chair. Very happy with both, I do like having 5 wheels and the way the bracing is made which makes it very strong and stable. Chairs are too nice to take to the shop, I put them together in the living room, wife said take them to the shop not staying in the house. Lol Got to admit I did cry once when I first purchased them but after I started receiving all the emails letting me know they received the order, now packing one of them, now packing the second chair and told me when they would ship and when I would receive it, I started getting excited. They came in 4 different boxes and delivered all the same day. What they say is true “Cry once & Buy once”.
Took a while to talk myself into the purchase but I’m definitely happy I finally did it! Super comfortable and sturdy, looking forward to many years of use.
Best investment I've made in a long time. The quality and workmanship of these chairs are top shelf. Easy to assemble and everything lined up perfectly. I did break a bolt using power tools when the instructions clearly recommended not using them. Lesson learned. I am considering ordering some accessories like the bottom tray adjustable back rest. If they are built anything like the chairs it will be money well spent.
I bought it. Yes, it’s a darned expensive chair, but there is no alternative that offers this level of quality and comfort. It is a welcome addition to my garage.
I purchased the Robust Steel Max DIY bundle and all I can say is wow. Being a woodworker I don't fall into their typical demographic but it feels absolutely amazing during my marathon sanding sessions compared to a typical shop stool.

Went together very easily but, one lower bolt thread on the bottom center seat support stripped out with very little torque. Very comfortable. But will need to helicoil the stripped out bolt thread.

After researching all the shop chains on the internet I settled on this one as the best choice. Before I bought this one I had one that I tipped over backwards twice. Not fun at 73 or any age. This chair is worth every penny for 3 reasons. First it is totally safe with its wider base and excellent smooth casters. Second it’s highly functional with its lift mechanism and locking casters. Third it’s made in America and I appreciate the ability to support fellow Americans.

Packaged: extremely well. None should arrive damaged. Assembly: very easy to assemble with basic tools. Rugged Quality: appears to be a piece of shop equipment that will last for years. Very well designed and constructed. Value: I thought the purchase price of over $600.00 was excessive. If you’re expecting something special you’ll be disappointed. In my opinion, next time I’ll save a few hundred dollars and probably get something of the same caliber.
These are high quality shop stools. I have used both of these in my garage. I added a tool tray to the chair, a good add. I think I’ll add the expanded seat at some point. I am very happy with this purchase, it was expensive, but the quality is definitely there. I have no regrets on spending the money. These will last well past my time.

I debated for a long time on buying one of these, I’m a bigger guy who owns a detailing business I’ve gone through a couple rolling chairs. I finally decided to buy one and do not regret it whatsoever, it rolls really really good, the easy up is really nice. The chair gets low enough to sit comfortably doing lower parts of vehicles. I will say I am a bigger guy so I do sink through the pad pretty easy, I plan on buying the “big boy” attachment eventually which would make this chair perfect. Overall really happy with it.
I won't be able to improve on the many reviews about this chair, but I will say you can just feel its quality as you are assembling it: everything fits perfectly and it's a tank. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am so happy I bought it coming from a $55 Amazon special. It's pricey, no doubt, but will truly be with me forever.

Love the stool. I'm a retired machinist/welder at 76 I still have a shop. Outstanding design and workmanship. I didn't know you had different models. I should have ordered the Elevated Steel Max EZ-Lift. The Robust is perfect for working on vehicles and trailers. The Elevated stool is ideal for the work bench. Just got to talk my wife into it.
