What a fantastic quality shop chair! It completely exceeded my expectations. From the excellent cushions down to the grade 8 hardware, this thing is stout. It is the finest shop chair I’ve ever had the privilege of plopping me ars on. It’s the kind of equipment that will be passed to my son when I’m gone and he will be plopping his ars on. I purchased the Ultimate EZ Lift Package with the taller chair & shorter chair. Very happy with both, I do like having 5 wheels and the way the bracing is made which makes it very strong and stable. Chairs are too nice to take to the shop, I put them together in the living room, wife said take them to the shop not staying in the house. Lol Got to admit I did cry once when I first purchased them but after I started receiving all the emails letting me know they received the order, now packing one of them, now packing the second chair and told me when they would ship and when I would receive it, I started getting excited. They came in 4 different boxes and delivered all the same day. What they say is true “Cry once & Buy once”.
Took a while to talk myself into the purchase but I’m definitely happy I finally did it! Super comfortable and sturdy, looking forward to many years of use.
Best investment I've made in a long time. The quality and workmanship of these chairs are top shelf. Easy to assemble and everything lined up perfectly. I did break a bolt using power tools when the instructions clearly recommended not using them. Lesson learned. I am considering ordering some accessories like the bottom tray adjustable back rest. If they are built anything like the chairs it will be money well spent.
I bought it. Yes, it’s a darned expensive chair, but there is no alternative that offers this level of quality and comfort. It is a welcome addition to my garage.
I purchased the Robust Steel Max DIY bundle and all I can say is wow. Being a woodworker I don't fall into their typical demographic but it feels absolutely amazing during my marathon sanding sessions compared to a typical shop stool.

Went together very easily but, one lower bolt thread on the bottom center seat support stripped out with very little torque. Very comfortable. But will need to helicoil the stripped out bolt thread.

After researching all the shop chains on the internet I settled on this one as the best choice. Before I bought this one I had one that I tipped over backwards twice. Not fun at 73 or any age. This chair is worth every penny for 3 reasons. First it is totally safe with its wider base and excellent smooth casters. Second it’s highly functional with its lift mechanism and locking casters. Third it’s made in America and I appreciate the ability to support fellow Americans.

Packaged: extremely well. None should arrive damaged. Assembly: very easy to assemble with basic tools. Rugged Quality: appears to be a piece of shop equipment that will last for years. Very well designed and constructed. Value: I thought the purchase price of over $600.00 was excessive. If you’re expecting something special you’ll be disappointed. In my opinion, next time I’ll save a few hundred dollars and probably get something of the same caliber.
These are high quality shop stools. I have used both of these in my garage. I added a tool tray to the chair, a good add. I think I’ll add the expanded seat at some point. I am very happy with this purchase, it was expensive, but the quality is definitely there. I have no regrets on spending the money. These will last well past my time.

I debated for a long time on buying one of these, I’m a bigger guy who owns a detailing business I’ve gone through a couple rolling chairs. I finally decided to buy one and do not regret it whatsoever, it rolls really really good, the easy up is really nice. The chair gets low enough to sit comfortably doing lower parts of vehicles. I will say I am a bigger guy so I do sink through the pad pretty easy, I plan on buying the “big boy” attachment eventually which would make this chair perfect. Overall really happy with it.
I won't be able to improve on the many reviews about this chair, but I will say you can just feel its quality as you are assembling it: everything fits perfectly and it's a tank. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am so happy I bought it coming from a $55 Amazon special. It's pricey, no doubt, but will truly be with me forever.
Solid, pass on to the next generation quality. Finally, my back doesn't hurt for hours on a stool. American quality! Job well done Viper!
Love the stool. I'm a retired machinist/welder at 76 I still have a shop. Outstanding design and workmanship. I didn't know you had different models. I should have ordered the Elevated Steel Max EZ-Lift. The Robust is perfect for working on vehicles and trailers. The Elevated stool is ideal for the work bench. Just got to talk my wife into it.

Bought a chair for my husband and kept it a secret till it was due to arrive and then told him I ordered it for him. He was very pleased. He told me that he had been looking at them for weeks but couldn’t justify the cost. I told him I had been looking at them also and wanted him to be safe while cleaning his car and motorcycle. The chair is everything you could want in comfort and stability. He loves it. I loved ordering secretly.❤️❤️
After buying my 1st Vyper chair, the Tribute chair came out. Being an Army Veteran, I had to get the 2nd best chair out there for my garage. Love them both so much
I wanted a viper shop chair for years and my wife finally told me that for my birthday to go for it. It’s everything I hoped for with one exception. My current shop chair is just an old office chair and the seat is deeper. Which means with the viper chair and the non-adjustable backrest causes it to hit me in the in a lower back, which is uncomfortable and taking a bit to get used to. I didn’t foresee this issue, but in general, I really like the chair and it’s mobility, and I love the tool tray in the base..
It's very comfortable. And as advertised it rolls over anything. I don't have to worry about falling anymore. I'm very pleased with this purchase..it didnt take but a day of using it to get over the sticker shock very happy thanks.

I would highly recommend this chair to anyone looking for a quality shop chair. I purchased one of the Special Edition Rupture Chairs along with some accessories and waited anxiously as it was produced and shipped. When the final package arrived, I pulled everything out and began the assembly, which was fairly easy. Once it was all together I used it for almost the entire day. I decided It would be more comfortable with the side extensions for the seat, so I ordered the Big Boy kit, which was delivered in a couple of days. I installed it yesterday, and what a difference! It is certainly a great addition to my workshop that will be utilized daily.

I received my chair a couple of days ago took a while to receive the chair because it was special ordered limited edition well worth the weight. The quality is great. I plan on purchasing more items. I like the creeper, but I’m gonna have to wait a little bit. You won’t be disappointed with this product. It’s well worth the money.

I'm not a auto mechanic but have various hobbies like leather working, weaving, Native American beadwork and woodcarving to name a few. This chair is great for moving around my craft room and providing my back with support. This was an expensive investment but worth it. This will last forever, quality throughout.

A Vyper limited edition is a one-time small-batch run of an existing product (chair, stool, creeper, or cart) in a named colorway, finish, or collaboration design, for example: Ghoul (glow-in-the-dark), Phantom (color-shift chameleon), Sublime (green), Voodoo, Scorch, Joker, Vein, Tribute (military canvas), and Warrior 2.0 (hot pink).
We also have an existing line of collaborations with Vyper x Realtree® and Vyper x Hendrick Motorsports that are always available.
Each limited edition features unique embroidery, custom badges, exclusive stickers and a specific colorway you won't find in the standard lineup. The underlying build (steel frame, casters, foam, mechanisms, capacity, warranty) is identical to the standard product.
Once a Vyper limited edition sells out, it does not restock. That's the point, small batch, no second runs. Buyers who miss a drop have to wait for the next release, which will be a different colorway or collaboration entirely.
There are two different styles of limited editions: time based and quantity based.
Some editions we will run where it’s first come first serve (quantity based). Other times we will run a limited colorway for a certain amount of time (time based). If you miss the cutoff, there’s no going back.
Occasionally we will re-release a previously sold-out edition as a special return (for example, "Scorch, Joker, Volt, Shocker and Viola are back" was a one-time encore drop, called out as a last-chance opportunity). But the default policy is one-and-done. If you see a limited edition in stock and you want it, lock it in.
No. The build is identical to the standard product. A limited edition Robust Steel Max is the same Robust Steel Max underneath: same powder-coated steel frame, same 3.5" industrial foam, same lumbar-support backrest, same 400 lb capacity, same 5-caster anti-tip base, same lifetime warranty on the frame.
What changes is the finish: custom powdercoat color, custom embroidery, custom badges, and specific accent colors on hardware and stitching. You're getting the same chair Chip Foose, Jay Leno and Gas Monkey Garage use, just in a finish that won't be made again.
The fastest way is signing up for the Vyper email list and following @vyperchair on Instagram and YouTube, limited editions are announced usually 1 to 2 weeks before the drop with the exact date and time. Most drops go live at 9 AM CST on the announced date.
High-demand drops frequently sell out within hours. Customers on the email list get the announcement first, which is the difference between getting the chair and not.
Yes. Limited edition chairs are compatible with the full Vyper accessory lineup (armrests, backrests, EZ-Lift, Big Boy attachment, tool trays, footrails, Sidekick). Many limited editions offer matching-color accessories during the drop window; once the drop closes, accessories may only be available in standard colors.
