The chair is noticeably better quality than any similar-usage chairs I saw on the sales floors of hardware stores. I am also swayed to purchase an item like Vyper when I see that it’s made in America. My husband was delighted when he got it for an early Christmas present!

Awesome shop chair. Heavy duty, comfortable, relatively easy assembly, and so pretty to look at. It’s going to outlast me for sure. Gonna have to put in the trust! 😉 Took me a while to decide to cry once but I’m very glad I did!
Very nice built really well it sits in my shop and I sit in it every night after work. The only thing I have to say is I didn’t like spending $600 for this.

The chair did not ship with the adjustable back rest I ordered. the back rest was back ordered. after sitting in it I canceled the back rest. I got a camo "limited edition". the seat is cloth, they may all be cloth. I thought a leather of pleather surface might stay cleaner. I will cover it when not in use to protect the seat from dust, sawdust, sanding dust and what not. It is a 600 buck chair and other than that it is great, comfortable, rolls and adjust easy. I will not be returning it. it lets me spend more time in my "hobby" shop.
The chair looks and feels like we expected. The specific seat adjustments will work great for my application. Fit was great. Assembly was straightforward and the chair feels like it can handle everything I expect of it. While doing it comfortably.
Absolutely love it and was fun to put together. Heavy duty, strong, no flex in the backrest, very minimal drop (1/2" or so) in the seat height when you sit on it. Make all black wheels/caster hardware and you'd really put these even farther above any competition!
Preordered back in July as the color way seemed nice. Received it a little later than anticipated but I was excited nonetheless. Quality is great but a little disheartened the black powder coated foot rail was scuffed on the inner side of the ring right out of the box. It’s a bit disappointing considering there was supposedly a “quality check” before packing and shipping but apparently that’s not the case. For the $700 price of the chair, I’d expect better therefore my lower rating.

I reorder for the chair to lift easy because of my age i did not realize it did come with i am 75 year old but the chair is great it will work out great
Cant say enough how great these well designed and built chairs are. At 64 and retiring next year cant stay on my feet all day so these will help me work more comfortable as I'm starting to set up my dream shop in a 40x20 4 car garage. When my wife retires we plan to move to land with a much bigger shop so just got the bundle for now when i set up the full detailing area will be getting the low detailing chair and a few other accessory's. The blue matched my big Royal blue Snap On box and cart i will be bringing home in April

Equal to all the hype! Heavy duty, and tall enough for my >6’ frame. Extremely well engineered. Expensive, yes - but when I discovered Vyper would honor my veteran status with an additional discount, I pulled the trigger. A great addition to my workshop!

I am handicapped and had to have someone assemble it for me and they felt the instructions could be a bit more detailed. I feel that it might improve sales if you offered factory assembly to those that need it at an additional price as well as extra for shipping. I would have gladly paid those charges instead of having to wait until i could get help with assembly.

Best shop chair on wheels I have ever used!
Assembly instructions on booklet were unclear, especially as bolt sizes were not specified on different steps. Needed to watch instructional video in conjunction to minimize the guesswork. Though after completing the assembly after a couple hours, it was worth the efforts. The castor wheels roll incredibly smooth, even on rough surfaces, yet I find the 2 locking castors do not effectively keep the chair from rolling even with both locked; perhaps a third locking castor can improve the effectiveness of keeping the chair stationary when needed. The industrial grade rolling chair has improved workplace ergonomics especially for fabrication welding.
It has saved my back! I used to have 3 benches now I have the Vyper. A very stable chair. It is easy to adjust to the different levels. The only issue is that it rolls too easy. Which is not a problem with the chair, but my basement has a slight slope that the chair migrates to. Easily fixed by locking one of the wheels. Thanks, for a great product!

I repair old clocks. Some are shelf and some are wall models. The pendulum lengths vary. To reach the mechanisms I needed a chair that could adjust in several heights. The ELEVATED STEEL MAX (EZ-LIFT) was the perfect choice for my uses. It’s easy to adjust and always the right height.
Was really amazed with how steady the chair was being up so high and being able to move around the work bench. I got an extra chair for my wife to sit out in the barn while I am working and even, she is comfortable with getting off and on the chair. The only recommendation I would give would be to offer customized backs with names or his/hers in addition to the Vyper name.
Very disappointed on the floor tool plate it still has not arrived so I really can’t put the chair together until I receive that floor plate that I’ve already paid for. I’ve called and talked to someone and they said that they would get it out as soon as possible but still hadn’t received it but the other one that I have I love it. This is the second one I bought plus the floor, creeper and the the floor creeper hanger.
Love the casters. I can sit at a workbench when building components. I may add armrests. Impressive build quality.

I love the details and design of the stool. Only downside is that the seat cushion needs more density. If this is intended to be an ‘all day’ stool the padding leaves a bit to be desired. Other than that this thing is rock solid.
Great product but would be nice if it had 3 brake rollers instead of just 2! Just not enough holding strength with 2.
I bought the elevated max a year ago while my garage addition was being built. I just placed an order for another one so now when people stop by and help with projects I’m working on they can sit in a comfortable chair! These are the best built garage chairs I’ve seen.
This is one chair that I feel will be around for a long time
Love the chair. Very sturdy and well made. The only drawback I have is that the seat back could be bigger. It doesn’t hit your back in the right spot and I almost fell out of the chair the first time I used it. I most likely will order the side arms for my birthday present in November.

A Vyper limited edition is a one-time small-batch run of an existing product (chair, stool, creeper, or cart) in a named colorway, finish, or collaboration design, for example: Ghoul (glow-in-the-dark), Phantom (color-shift chameleon), Sublime (green), Voodoo, Scorch, Joker, Vein, Tribute (military canvas), and Warrior 2.0 (hot pink).
We also have an existing line of collaborations with Vyper x Realtree® and Vyper x Hendrick Motorsports that are always available.
Each limited edition features unique embroidery, custom badges, exclusive stickers and a specific colorway you won't find in the standard lineup. The underlying build (steel frame, casters, foam, mechanisms, capacity, warranty) is identical to the standard product.
Once a Vyper limited edition sells out, it does not restock. That's the point, small batch, no second runs. Buyers who miss a drop have to wait for the next release, which will be a different colorway or collaboration entirely.
There are two different styles of limited editions: time based and quantity based.
Some editions we will run where it’s first come first serve (quantity based). Other times we will run a limited colorway for a certain amount of time (time based). If you miss the cutoff, there’s no going back.
Occasionally we will re-release a previously sold-out edition as a special return (for example, "Scorch, Joker, Volt, Shocker and Viola are back" was a one-time encore drop, called out as a last-chance opportunity). But the default policy is one-and-done. If you see a limited edition in stock and you want it, lock it in.
No. The build is identical to the standard product. A limited edition Robust Steel Max is the same Robust Steel Max underneath: same powder-coated steel frame, same 3.5" industrial foam, same lumbar-support backrest, same 400 lb capacity, same 5-caster anti-tip base, same lifetime warranty on the frame.
What changes is the finish: custom powdercoat color, custom embroidery, custom badges, and specific accent colors on hardware and stitching. You're getting the same chair Chip Foose, Jay Leno and Gas Monkey Garage use, just in a finish that won't be made again.
The fastest way is signing up for the Vyper email list and following @vyperchair on Instagram and YouTube, limited editions are announced usually 1 to 2 weeks before the drop with the exact date and time. Most drops go live at 9 AM CST on the announced date.
High-demand drops frequently sell out within hours. Customers on the email list get the announcement first, which is the difference between getting the chair and not.
Yes. Limited edition chairs are compatible with the full Vyper accessory lineup (armrests, backrests, EZ-Lift, Big Boy attachment, tool trays, footrails, Sidekick). Many limited editions offer matching-color accessories during the drop window; once the drop closes, accessories may only be available in standard colors.
