I received the Vyper Robust Stee Max and the assembly was the most fun I've had putting something like it together in a very long time. Overall, I am impressed with the ruggedness and beauty and comfort of the product and look forward to skittering around my workshop on it, sometimes for no apparent reason at all. A quality product if I've ever seen one.
I'm 80 yr old & this chair is easy to get up from & rolls around easily .
Really love the chair!! One thing aggravating about the experience though - I received the chair on Thursday and didn't receive the Big Boy add-on til Monday. I wanted to use the chair, so I assembled it right away on Friday. Then when I received and went to put the Big Boy on, I basically had to take the entire EZLtift seat area back apart and reassemble it. That was aggravating. My guess is that you probably shipped the two boxes together, but FedEx didn't deliver them together? I have had MANY VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with Fed Ex. As a matter of fact, if I had know that you used Fed Ex, I would have purchased the chair through Amazon instead of direct from you, simply to avoid FedEx. Just thought I would vent a little and let you know how your service provider (FedEx) performs and is perceived by customers, like me. Again, I love the chair, very high quality, the rollers are awesome for the concrete floor of my woodworking shop. No more falling out of my chair when I hit a small piece of wood on the floor, just roll right over it. Sincerely, Martin

The phrase you get what you pay for fits perfectly. This chair is very well built and look forward to many years of use. The assembly process can be cumbersome, as I did have some issues getting the wheels installed. I would give this a 4.8 out of 5.

Absolutely top quality!! Assembly was very simple, instructions were very easy to understand. Rolls over everything, the 5 casters make it very stable. The thick padding on the seat and the backrest make it very comfortable even when sitting for extended periods of time. 100% worth the price.
Great comfortable chair for a big guy like myself
Quality is obvious when taken out of the box. Easy to assemble. Once all the bolts and nuts are tight, it's like having a miniature heavy duty dozer under your gluteus maximus easily gliding across any direction of garage floor. Expensive but as they say you get what you pay for.
I love my Ford Vyper chair! The assembly was played out great in the manual. I added the numbers to each bag. Before I started the assembly. The wheels glide over the garage floor wit ease. The cushions are really comfortable. You can feel the quality.
Here it is next to the Vyper wana be chairs that I put together till I could afford the real deal. The Vyper is super awesome and comfortable. Glad I bought it finally. Like they say buy once cry once. The fit and material is far superior than I could have hoped for. The back rest is in that sweet spot and the gas cylinder is great.
Love the chair, my shop burned last March, moodys hot rods and muscle cars.... I had a couple of them in that shop, im still fighting litigation with insurance companies or I would have bought 2, just can't afford right now.
I LOVE my Viper! Every piece is heavy duty, easy to assemble and looks bad a**! I added the sidekick and tray to my initial order and I’m so glad I did. I have no doubt my viper chair will out live me. Thank you
Took a bit to assemble it, but when you see quality you’ll know why! Bought it for my 84-year-old father who still runs his whole farm, donkey, feet and all ha ha. He said he took a tumble two or three times in his old chair. But he seen this one online and was super happy when we were done assembling it! Definitely worth the money!

High quality chair . You get what you pay for.
Shipping was fast with no damage. Product is great quality and nice looking. One petty issue is the backrest was not wrapped and had a lot of styrofoam pellets stuck to it and was a bit difficult to clean off. Compared to some other stools i think is overpriced

Instructions are very poor. The pictures are not adequately labeled to understand by somebody who is less than a machinist. More wrenches are required than our call for in the instructions. All in all not impossible to assemble, but could save a lot of time with better instructions.

I Love the chair I received. I made a mistake in not ordering the Chair that raise to the higher position. 🤔☹️ I will use it anyway because I cannot invest that much again to get the one I really wanted. Nothing against the Chair I received. Like I said it is everything you said it was It is the best build Chair I have ever seen. The assembly was simple and the directions were well displayed. A Vyper limited edition is a one-time small-batch run of an existing product (chair, stool, creeper, or cart) in a named colorway, finish, or collaboration design, for example: Ghoul (glow-in-the-dark), Phantom (color-shift chameleon), Sublime (green), Voodoo, Scorch, Joker, Vein, Tribute (military canvas), and Warrior 2.0 (hot pink).
We also have an existing line of collaborations with Vyper x Realtree® and Vyper x Hendrick Motorsports that are always available.
Each limited edition features unique embroidery, custom badges, exclusive stickers and a specific colorway you won't find in the standard lineup. The underlying build (steel frame, casters, foam, mechanisms, capacity, warranty) is identical to the standard product.
Once a Vyper limited edition sells out, it does not restock. That's the point, small batch, no second runs. Buyers who miss a drop have to wait for the next release, which will be a different colorway or collaboration entirely.
There are two different styles of limited editions: time based and quantity based.
Some editions we will run where it’s first come first serve (quantity based). Other times we will run a limited colorway for a certain amount of time (time based). If you miss the cutoff, there’s no going back.
Occasionally we will re-release a previously sold-out edition as a special return (for example, "Scorch, Joker, Volt, Shocker and Viola are back" was a one-time encore drop, called out as a last-chance opportunity). But the default policy is one-and-done. If you see a limited edition in stock and you want it, lock it in.
No. The build is identical to the standard product. A limited edition Robust Steel Max is the same Robust Steel Max underneath: same powder-coated steel frame, same 3.5" industrial foam, same lumbar-support backrest, same 400 lb capacity, same 5-caster anti-tip base, same lifetime warranty on the frame.
What changes is the finish: custom powdercoat color, custom embroidery, custom badges, and specific accent colors on hardware and stitching. You're getting the same chair Chip Foose, Jay Leno and Gas Monkey Garage use, just in a finish that won't be made again.
The fastest way is signing up for the Vyper email list and following @vyperchair on Instagram and YouTube, limited editions are announced usually 1 to 2 weeks before the drop with the exact date and time. Most drops go live at 9 AM CST on the announced date.
High-demand drops frequently sell out within hours. Customers on the email list get the announcement first, which is the difference between getting the chair and not.
Yes. Limited edition chairs are compatible with the full Vyper accessory lineup (armrests, backrests, EZ-Lift, Big Boy attachment, tool trays, footrails, Sidekick). Many limited editions offer matching-color accessories during the drop window; once the drop closes, accessories may only be available in standard colors.
