Its not as special as I thought it might be
Was a little hesitant because of the price, but its just as high quality as advertised.
The chair itself is great. It’s very strong, well-built, and durable. It honestly looks and feels like something that will last a lifetime. The assembly directions, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t waste much time trying to follow the paper instructions because they really don’t tell you much. Go to their YouTube channel and watch the assembly video instead. It makes putting the chair together much easier. My biggest complaint is that I really think the tool holder should be included with the chair rather than being an accessory you have to purchase separately. After all, having your tools and parts within reach is kind of the whole point of a mechanic’s shop chair. For the price of the chair, I think the tool holder should be standard equipment. The chair is a little on the expensive side as it is. If they included the tool holder and kept the price the same, I think it would be a very good deal. Overall, though, the quality is excellent and I’m happy with the purchase.
My husband has wanted to purchase this chair and we finally ordered it. He absolutely loves it, especially moving around the garage and in the basement. Makes things so much easier for him, as he has mobility issues. Fantastic chair!!!! Would recommend it to anyone.
This was an anniversary gift for my husband. He's having a new shop built, and I felt he just needed a good, comfortable place to put his rear once the shop is complete. This man never gets excited over anything. He was excited to get this chair and the add-ons I included!
Delivery was slower than advertised, but worth the wait! This thing was actually fun to assemble, they provided grade 5 and grade 8 bolts to do it with! Truly built to last. Have a good hold on this chair when you sit down, it will take off on you, or you can lock 2 of the casters.
Love my Vyper chair! Sits high enough to work at my toolbox and low enough to work on my truck! And it’s very comfortable!
When I initially saw the ad for a Viper stool: my first thought was “ there is no way I would spend that much money on a shop stool!” So I watched the ads for two years and last week I purched 3 of them. We have a smaller industrial shop with 7 employees. The first stool arrived and the quality is infinite. Very well thought out, all serious steel construction, very strong standard hardware. Very nice throughout. Thankyou.
My wife and I are both disabled, she has knee and hip problems and I'm an amputee. We needed a chair to use in the kitchen and to move throughout the apartment. We had already gone through two office chairs that didn't hold up like they said they would, they both broke and were thrown in the trash. We bought the Steel Robust Max with the Big Boy attachments, I was tired of wasting money on cheap flimsy chairs. The Vyper chair is AWESOME!!! My wife, who uses the chair the most, LOVES IT. Because of the price, we were a little hesitant at first about buying the Vyper Chair, but we're glad we did. The chair is built like a tank and yet it glides across the floor with ease. This is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for." Thanks guys, we love it.
My only regret is... "Why didn't I get this sooner?" What an amazing chair. Easy to assemble, well made, does everything Vyper advertises. Rolls effortlessly, and is as comfortable as it looks. Very pleased. I may need to order an additional so my wife or my friends can't steal mine when they are hanging out in the garage while I work on their vehicles. If you are on the fence about this chair / stool or any of their garage products, I highly recommend getting off the fence and get one of these chairs or stools. You won't be disappointed.

Easy to assemble, comfortable and sturdy. The wheels are large and do not get caught on small obstacles on the floor.
Purchased for the renter who farms some ground for me. It’s his 76th birthday and he shows 2 custom Vehicles at custom shows. Thought he could use something nice to help save his body when he is doing show prep.
Wonderful addition to my shop. Wish I had bought one when they first came out years ago. Well worth the money, and I may buy another later on . I like the idea that is expandable and I can add sides to it . beautifully made, easy to put together, just follow the instructions. after falling off two smaller, cheaper stools- . This is money well spent .I recommended one to all my friends . Buy a cheaper unit that is not as effective, doesn’t roll as well, and either ends up breaking or you ignore it .. spend the money. Buy the best . 5 star product and excellent value . Should last a lifetime with minimal care !
The chair is very high quality and was very easy to assemble. Haven’t had much of a chance to use it yet nut very comfortable
Great product, we pulled up A youtube video to help with puttung tye chair together it helped a lot.
Well packed, arrived undamaged. Lots of parts and bolts!! Took awhile to assemble and reassemble. Recommend watching the appropriate assembly video several times. It is very freewheeling and comfortable . I like everything but the price!

Excellent product that is built to last. Only recommendation is to put torque specifications on the assembly instructions. Its would prevent over torturing of mounting hardware in the seat area that I am sure happens. Extremely satisfied with the chair.
Biggest problem is there should have been a video assembling the Freedom chair. For a girl assembling by herself, it would have been a bigggg game changer if the parts bags which are confusing if you would also put the number on it also that reflects in the assembly book. Having the item numbered would have been a faster to assemble. Really would appreciate you considering this be done on all parts bags. Love my chair but it was confusing for a girl.
I had one of the shorter chairs which is great but I some leg issues and it was painful to stand up from it. I got the taller one which has the same greatness but easier for me to sit down and stand up. My wife is happy as she got the shorter one. It is the right size as she is 5 ft tall, so it all worked out. I ordered easy lift kit for the taller chair which is a big win, and yes I will get one for the other seat as well.
Chair rolls so smooth. I don't think it will ever turn over. Chair is built like a rock. Freedom baby!

At 79 years old I have busted my ass in my smooth floor shop numerous times over the years with small wheel rollers, sometimes not even trying to roll over something small like a gravel stone. Looked at your chair a couple of times and choked on the price. Last time, a few weeks ago I got dumped again I decided to bite the bullet and order. I am so very impressed with the total quality of each and every part and how well it all fit together perfectly. The comfort and safety I feel rolling around is superb. Semper Fi from an old Marine.
I was skeptical about ordering a shop stool this expensive, but it is absolutely worth it. Very comfortable and well built. The large casters make moving around the shop feel safer than anything I’ve used before, and the stool is just flat out comfortable to sit on. I’m so glad that I broke down and ordered this for myself. Now I’m trying to justify the cost for another one to use when I’m working in the basement.
I’m now the talk of the shop!!

A very high quality product. I look forward to years of use out of my new chair. The assembly video was great, straight forward and easy to follow making assembly relatively fast. There were no issues with fitment, paint is immaculate; a super product.
Pretty easy to put together and rolls so smooth. Got the 250 edition... because, why not do it right. Would definitely recommend it if you can afford it, feels like a forever chair to me.
Like the color and chair, but wish it could of had 250 Freedom stitched on the seat.
I thought that my WIZARD edition looked amazing. But the FREDOM edition is next level!

If you're like us, you've more than likely either tipped over from hitting a crack or experience annoying back / knee pain from an uncomfortable stool.
Vyper Chairs (and our entire product line) were strategically designed to help reduce fatigue while working, help prevent from tipping over while rolling, and provide comfort for long working durations.

What is a Vyper limited edition?
A Vyper limited edition is a one-time small-batch run of an existing product (chair, stool, creeper, or cart) in a named colorway, finish, or collaboration design, for example: Ghoul (glow-in-the-dark), Phantom (color-shift chameleon), Sublime (green), Voodoo, Scorch, Joker, Vein, Tribute (military canvas), and Warrior 2.0 (hot pink).
We also have an existing line of collaborations with Vyper x Realtree® and Vyper x Hendrick Motorsports that are always available.
Each limited edition features unique embroidery, custom badges, exclusive stickers and a specific colorway you won't find in the standard lineup. The underlying build (steel frame, casters, foam, mechanisms, capacity, warranty) is identical to the standard product.
Will sold-out Vyper limited editions ever come back?
Once a Vyper limited edition sells out, it does not restock. That's the point, small batch, no second runs. Buyers who miss a drop have to wait for the next release, which will be a different colorway or collaboration entirely.
There are two different styles of limited editions: time based and quantity based.
Some editions we will run where it’s first come first serve (quantity based). Other times we will run a limited colorway for a certain amount of time (time based). If you miss the cutoff, there’s no going back.
Occasionally we will re-release a previously sold-out edition as a special return (for example, "Scorch, Joker, Volt, Shocker and Viola are back" was a one-time encore drop, called out as a last-chance opportunity). But the default policy is one-and-done. If you see a limited edition in stock and you want it, lock it in.
Are limited edition Vyper chairs different from regular chairs in build quality?
No. The build is identical to the standard product. A limited edition Robust Steel Max is the same Robust Steel Max underneath: same powder-coated steel frame, same 3.5" industrial foam, same lumbar-support backrest, same 400 lb capacity, same 5-caster anti-tip base, same lifetime warranty on the frame.
What changes is the finish: custom powdercoat color, custom embroidery, custom badges, and specific accent colors on hardware and stitching. You're getting the same chair Chip Foose, Jay Leno and Gas Monkey Garage use, just in a finish that won't be made again.
Are limited edition Vyper chairs different from regular chairs in build quality?
The fastest way is signing up for the Vyper email list and following @vyperchair on Instagram and YouTube, limited editions are announced usually 1 to 2 weeks before the drop with the exact date and time. Most drops go live at 9 AM CST on the announced date.
High-demand drops frequently sell out within hours. Customers on the email list get the announcement first, which is the difference between getting the chair and not.
Can I add custom accessories to a limited edition chair and do they ship with the same accessories as the standard model?
Yes. Limited edition chairs are compatible with the full Vyper accessory lineup (armrests, backrests, EZ-Lift, Big Boy attachment, tool trays, footrails, Sidekick). Many limited editions offer matching-color accessories during the drop window; once the drop closes, accessories may only be available in standard colors.
