Easy to assemble, really rugged construction but a stylish look. Started with the basic elevated with ez lift, and a few days later decided I wanted to add arm rest, big boy seat and articulating back rest. Very straight forward assembly.
The chairs are awesome. That’s the pro. The con is this; You have apparently redesigned the chair arms and assembly. However, I bought my 1st chair maybe 2 years ago. I decided to add the arms as an improvement to a great chair. This is where you stubbed your toe. I advised Vyper I already owned a chair and needed arms for it. You sent the arms promptly enough except they don’t fit the iteration of the chair I own. I spent considerable time to determine this and then called you guys. A major issue was the instructions for my original chair and arm assembly has been removed from your website. Your service guy was phenomenal in helping me confirm the issue and in getting the assembly that is designed to fit. All that said I then bought the correct arms kit and an additional chair with an arms kit. None of these nuisances changed the quality of the chair. These things happen when you change a design. Sooner or later it’s going to bite you. Lesson learned is to confirm ordered part will fit prior to shipment. I spent 40+ years in GE’s Power Transformer business as Manager of manufacturing and later as GM for EFACEC’s transformer manufacturing in the US. The hard lessons come not from being perfect but in how you resolve a problem!! You fixed the mixup quickly and as I’m awaiting the remainder of the order, accurately. You guys did a stellar job in addressing the problem!! Sorry to be long winded. Is a great product and I look forward to working on my Restomod cars using them.
The adjustable armrest finishes off this incredible chair, making it even more comfortable.
The viper chair is a great addition to our work shop. My father who doesn’t get around well can seat and use your chairs to help assist him in moving around the shop to help with jobs. He’s not afraid to turn over and they adjust to just the right height.

They hold my arms.
So I’ve purchased two Viper chairs and love them. But I recently had a health issue and lost my left leg. Iv been using a wheelchair to motor around in my shop but I couldn’t use my Viper stool because of balance. So I decided to purchase the adjustable arm rest that added stability when I transferred over. This Wednesday I’m getting my prosthetic which will definitely help with getting around for my detail shop. Thank you Viper for continuing to build amazing products.

the adjustable arms and padding are not user friendly. to have to remove 4 bolts in order to widen or shorten them out and in. the forearm padding thumb nuts are not user friendly and are hard on the fingers when loosening and tightening. very generic. I will never buy the product again or recommend it.
Emailed to recommend that repeat customers be offered a discount for upgrades and additional items and was pleased with a discount code for the armrest and wheel locks which make the chair so much handier to use. Thinking about the adjustable backrest as possible future purchase especially if my old backrest had trade-in value. Cheers, Myron
Got the arm rest option. It is a nice feature to have but it doesn't seem like I could ever get the thumbscrews tight enough to keep the top pads from sliding around when I grab them. Might try removing the large washers or adding a rubber washer as well to keep them in place.
I'm short one 01-06022 support piece. No, I didn't misplace it, there were only 4 in the box. I'd really like to place the remaining one, to insure even more stability! Great product! I would NOT recommend the adjustable back that I ordered. The standard back support looks a LOT more cool, than the adjustable kit pieces. I did not install the adjustable. You can see the old stool I was using. Everything about my Vyper stool is AWESOME! The stool the seat the arms, and the back. I spend most of my time at my job sitting at the computer CAD designing. This is a game changer for me! I can not express enough how AWESOME this is. I am 60 years old. I will never have to replace it. It will be here after I am gone. WHAT AN AWESOME STOOL!!!
As a “dealer” selling your products, having product delayed for over a week because Vyper was holding a “customer appreciation event” seems like an oxymoron. Why would we stop all shipments for a week for a customer appreciation event which delays and upsets the customers whom you are trying to appreciate
A little disappointed in the pad quality, thickness and small size.
Love these arms. No offense but the chair was nice without them but very nice with them. Glad I got the shipping coverage because FedEx lost track of these for a couple of days. So, I received them after I had assembled the chair. Pretty easy rebuild and we are up and at ‘em. Wiping the last of my tears. Very happy and satisfied with the product and Vyper!

While arm rests aren’t an absolute necessity for me, it’s a nice option when working for lots of hours.
This was an addition to my chair my family purchased for me at Christmas. I also purchased the adjustable back rest. The instructions were easy to follow but the lack of instructions for the back rest was disappointing. Being 80 years old computers and Q codes do not impress me. After some questions to my self chair is complete and enjoyable to work on my 1934 Ford.

Best shop chair I have ever owned looked up on web and found viper brought 1 liked it my wife sat in it she had to have 1 brought the 2nd elevated it was to high gave her mine needed the lower one brought 3 one. Now I have 3 viper chairs and I love 💕 all 3 thanks viper you got me for life oh yeah also brought the creeper love all viper products made in the USA!!!!
I like the functionality but I have to say installing was difficult because I wanted the armrest to be as close to the seat extensions as possible, which created resistance and getting the through bolts in for the armrest was very difficult. Also the thumb bolts for holding the armrest pad pads are too small to tighten adequately to lock the armrest in place. So they are always sliding around.
It's fine
This is a fantastic accessory for the Vyper chair. The parts are made of heavy gauge steel, and there is flexibility in how wide the arm rests attach. This gives you plenty of room if you are on the wide side, and it will still be incredibly sturdy. My only regret is that I didn’t see the small hotlink on the ordering page to edit the order and change the color to match the rest of the chair. That’s O.K., I’ll get it right on the next chair!
this is a must for the chair I had purchased earlier; the arm rest brings stability & comfort to the chair when getting on & off the chair. without the arm rest I didn't feel comfortable getting on as I was afraid it would roll out from me. GREAT product Andy

A Vyper limited edition is a one-time small-batch run of an existing product (chair, stool, creeper, or cart) in a named colorway, finish, or collaboration design, for example: Ghoul (glow-in-the-dark), Phantom (color-shift chameleon), Sublime (green), Voodoo, Scorch, Joker, Vein, Tribute (military canvas), and Warrior 2.0 (hot pink).
We also have an existing line of collaborations with Vyper x Realtree® and Vyper x Hendrick Motorsports that are always available.
Each limited edition features unique embroidery, custom badges, exclusive stickers and a specific colorway you won't find in the standard lineup. The underlying build (steel frame, casters, foam, mechanisms, capacity, warranty) is identical to the standard product.
Once a Vyper limited edition sells out, it does not restock. That's the point, small batch, no second runs. Buyers who miss a drop have to wait for the next release, which will be a different colorway or collaboration entirely.
There are two different styles of limited editions: time based and quantity based.
Some editions we will run where it’s first come first serve (quantity based). Other times we will run a limited colorway for a certain amount of time (time based). If you miss the cutoff, there’s no going back.
Occasionally we will re-release a previously sold-out edition as a special return (for example, "Scorch, Joker, Volt, Shocker and Viola are back" was a one-time encore drop, called out as a last-chance opportunity). But the default policy is one-and-done. If you see a limited edition in stock and you want it, lock it in.
No. The build is identical to the standard product. A limited edition Robust Steel Max is the same Robust Steel Max underneath: same powder-coated steel frame, same 3.5" industrial foam, same lumbar-support backrest, same 400 lb capacity, same 5-caster anti-tip base, same lifetime warranty on the frame.
What changes is the finish: custom powdercoat color, custom embroidery, custom badges, and specific accent colors on hardware and stitching. You're getting the same chair Chip Foose, Jay Leno and Gas Monkey Garage use, just in a finish that won't be made again.
The fastest way is signing up for the Vyper email list and following @vyperchair on Instagram and YouTube, limited editions are announced usually 1 to 2 weeks before the drop with the exact date and time. Most drops go live at 9 AM CST on the announced date.
High-demand drops frequently sell out within hours. Customers on the email list get the announcement first, which is the difference between getting the chair and not.
Yes. Limited edition chairs are compatible with the full Vyper accessory lineup (armrests, backrests, EZ-Lift, Big Boy attachment, tool trays, footrails, Sidekick). Many limited editions offer matching-color accessories during the drop window; once the drop closes, accessories may only be available in standard colors.
