We finally got tired of buying cheap shop chairs that fell apart and left our technician uncomfortable, so we bought a Vyper chair. We’re glad we did. Casey, our LaserSquad technician, spends ten-hour days doing laser cleaning and weld prep, getting in and out of his chair constantly. He absolutely loves the upgrade. Assembly, however, came with some colorful commentary. After hearing a couple hours of commotion from the shop, I checked on him. Between the parts scattered everywhere and the language, it looked like a three-beer project—and he was questioning every decision that had brought him there. Fortunately, the chair is now assembled, the complaining has dropped dramatically, and Casey is enjoying a comfortable seat that feels built for the work. As a U.S.-based small business, we appreciate other American businesses that take pride in quality. We’re happy to pay for something well made that we can use and enjoy for years. Bought two chairs and they are awesome !! They have thought of everything including high quality lock nuts. I came home and ordered a creeper I was so impressed and what was even cooler was they had a pink one for cancer awareness !! The chair is great! If I had any complaints it might be that it rolls too easily! Even over my old rough, cracked and patched concrete floor. Super comfy even on long days.

My expectations were high because of the price point for your products. I have no problem paying for quality. But, you fell short, the casters on this are good quality except for the locking casters, they are inferior junk. Thin metal that bends and refuses to retract from the wheel creating a constant drag on the chair. I contacted CS and asked if they would at least replaced the locking wheels with standard wheels and they agreed. One other issue, each time I go to move the chair I grab the backrest cushion. I've found a sharp edge on a plastic plate that's used to cover the cushion back. I've taken it off and used an 1/8" round over bit on the edge to make it smooth. It's a simple fix that I wouldn't overlook, it goes to your overall impression of a product and it's presentation of it's quality. If I was buying from Harbor freight I wouldn't even mention it, I would correct the issues and move on, with plenty of extra cash in my pocket. But this is supposed to be of the highest quality at this price point, and I'm not accepting these missed opportunities. The frame and fasteners are an engineering marvel, to say it's overbuilt doesn't capture how well they nailed this design. The seat and backrest cushions are very good, comfortable and well made. This chair will be passed down through generations, it's built to last. Once I get the replacement wheels and replace those inferior locking casters I will be quite pleased with it. No more sharp edges on the backrest. Please accept this critique in good faith, I just have high expectations when the price point for a mechanics chair is this high. It's always the "details" with any product, and to set yourself above the crowd you have to get them all. Sincerely, Jack

Having been a Machinist, Welder, Cad designer since 1974 after my tour with the USMC, My son and I have a weld, design business in my home. I am using the chair for mobility in my home as I have trouble walking. The last two year I have used a salon chair, but the wheels did not hold up and had to be replaced several times. I am 5’5” tall and with your chair I have an issue hitting my ankles on edge of the wheels. I imagine stability of the chair is the reason of the diameter. Last week I ordered the armrest to give me more stability to sit. I know your chair was not designed for my disability. I am very impressed with the quality of your chair. Thank you for allowing me to be more mobile in my home. Also…. I can’t walk, but your chair allows me exercise by propelling myself forward to move around my home. Grateful for the mobility Jenny

Unbelievable Quality, if you spend anytime in your garage or in the house working where you need to sit, this chair is game changer. I looked at this chair for two years before finally making the investment. Now all I can think about is all the ridiculous things that I've wasted money on in the last two years when I should have bought the Vyper chair then and not waited. Boy do I feel stupid now. Great investment in yourself and I can't express how much better I feel throughout the time I'm working using this chair.
I’m using mine in my dental practice. The large base gets in the way while working on patients. The seat could be a little bigger. The range of seat height should be up to 26” because of the seat height loss once sitting on it. I must say it’s the best built chair I’ve ever sat on. Quality is incredible
great chair, rolls nicely, comfy seat, if your a bigger person get the big boy attachment!
Nice product. The only thing is when welder sits on the chair the chair decreases in seat height by about one inch. He is going to machine blocks to fit in between the wheels and the base of the leg and use longer bolts. The back where you mount the backrest (we got the color blue) had a ding and scratch on it. The box was fine when we received by freight company.

Ok, I'm going to be honest. I needed this chair like I needed a hole in the head. But then again, I just had to have it, I just HAD to have it. I got it today in Dodger blue, put it together and called my buddies over to come take a look. Then I threw out my old wooden stool of thirty years. It's not a tool but it works every bit as well. Even my beer taste better. I'd been looking at these chairs for the last six months and I finally pulled the trigger. So glad I did, I love this chair.
i like the chair but the back needs to be wider but i do like it .just wish when i ordered it that you would have told me about the pink chair i would have got that one .
I purchased the cheap one being a do it your selfer and saying," I don't want to pay all that money for the good one." I found out in a big hurry the cheap is junk and I wasted my money. You want quality, just like hand tools that last snd made in the USA, your going to pay for it. If you like Quality and USA made this is the chair for you!
It is a well-made, robust shop chair. The caster wheels work great. I am very pleased with this purchase. This chair is far superior to the usual rolling shop chairs that I usually see.
Clearly high-quality materials. Very comfy, rolls smoothly, and I really like the footrest bar, as I play guitar on it and it's perfect for that. That said, a slighlty larger backrest pillow would be good and although I'd like a second one, the cost is exorbitant and I won't be buying another unless there's an insane discount offered.
Guys, I am excited to try out my new shop stool. I have yet to put it together as I did not get my tool tray at the same time the stool arrived. There must have been some sort of shipment delay when sending the tool tray because it was about a week after I received my stool that the tray was delivered to my house just this evening as I was headed to work. I look forward to getting it put to use and I am positive I will be satisfied. Thanks again.

Wish it would have arrived all at the same time. My husband could not wait to tryout so he put it together right away. A few days later the accessory arrived. He don’t care though he loves it and has already given away old creeper chair. Great purchase for a mechanic that has everything else.

The stools are the best built in world! Plus the fact that they are built in the USA makes them even better. My Snapon stool doesn’t even come close to the quality of these stools. The snapon stool hung up on my mats infront of my work bench, the Vyper’s just roll right over them. Thanks for the quality love them!

After considering purchasing this chair for several months, I finally ordered it. Shipping was prompt but my chair was missing a couple of critical parts. Customer service was great. They understood the problem and corrected it quickly with no issues. The chair is as solid and comfortable as advertised and I am happy with the purchase.
I love the it, but I was a little disappointed that it came with a few chips in the powder coating. I was also disappointed with the wheels for a $600 stool. Other than that, definitely the best shop stool I have ever had.
I wanted the darker camo so I don't see the stains in the future, the chair is built for a lifetime, solid and well engineered. Love it.
