Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday 

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 / year (depending on experience & qualifications)

OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations,  including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material flow, and team leadership. This role ensures every process runs efficiently, accurately, and safely, maintaining smooth operations from incoming materials to outgoing orders.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Warehouse Manager works closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Customer Service to coordinate daily priorities and ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment. This position calls for a proactive leader who can balance people management with process improvement, driving both performance and accountability across the warehouse team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including prep, assembly, shipping, receiving, staging, storage, fabrication, and welding.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure all transactions are recorded promptly in the system.

  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization to maximize efficiency.

  • Enforce organization and cleanliness throughout the warehouse.

  • Manage preventive maintenance and address any equipment-related issues.

  • Track and improve KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipments.

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and company standards.

Staff Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 25 employees, including warehouse technicians, material handlers, shipping/receiving staff, and fabrication/welding personnel.

  • Set daily priorities and align assignments with production schedules.

  • Coach, train, and motivate team members to achieve high performance, safety, and engagement.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address issues through constructive feedback and corrective action when needed.

  • Foster a positive, high-energy work environment that drives teamwork and accountability.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Communicate with carriers and vendors to resolve shipping or receiving issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with Production and Purchasing to maintain an efficient flow of materials to and from manufacturing.

  • Manage inbound material processes, addressing shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues.

  • Assist in coordinating outbound shipments and inbound deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Inventory Management

  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.

  • Analyze and correct root causes of inventory variances.

  • Recommend and support improvements within ERP or WMS systems.

  • Lead physical inventory counts and ensure data integrity across all systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Maintain and establish (where necessary) standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.

  • Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement at all levels of the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution management.

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of 15 or more employees.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics operations.

  • Proficiency with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, or similar).

  • Experience with barcoding, batch/lot numbering, and related tracking processes.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Forklift certification and solid understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Background in Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
