The Robust Steel Max was strategically designed by a group of garage enthusiasts to prevent all of the problems they would encounter on a daily basis: back pain, knee pain, and tipping over.
Every single detail of the Robust Steel Max - from the perfectly angled backrest to the "roll-over" 4-inch casters to the thick, comfortable seat - has been tested, proven and hand-crafted in our US facility. All to deliver the most comfortable shop chair of your life.

THICK, COMFORTABLE & DURABLE SEAT
The Robust Steel Max is equipped with thick, 3.5” industrial grade foam that provides you with comfort while working for long durations (trust us, it’s not the thin, wimpy foam that other stools have).
This comfortable foam is covered with industrial grade material that has passed some of the most notable tests, making it a flame retardant seat with the ability to withstand your common wear & tear. The seat is embroidered to the highest quality in-house at our facility in Green Bay, WI.

Even though our material is rated as flame retardant, it still may ignite at some point when exposed to open flame.

PREVENT INJURIES FROM TIPPING OVER
We’ve all been there before with those cheap, China made stools that have tiny casters and a slim base so when you push off to roll, boom, you end up on the floor in pain. We feel your pain and have the perfect solution for you.
The Robust Steel Max is equipped with five, four-inch industrial grade casters that truly glide over any surfaces like smooth garage floors, bumpy driveway concrete, dirty environments, you name it! The caster housings are stainless steel to prevent corrosion and rust. These casters help tremendously (and I mean TREMENDOUSLY) to prevent tipping, especially with that fifth caster. These casters can roll over debris on the floor and even those pesky zip ties.
IMPROVE OVERALL POSTURE
Unfortunately for many years, posture and mobility in the garage were the most overlooked problems to date (and arguably some of the largest problems).
This problem we didn’t ignore and addressed it with the Robust Steel Max. The Robust Steel Max has a stainless steel foot rail that has many purposes. The first being it is a great place to rest your feet while working in the garage. You’d be surprised at how many people immediately put their foot on the foot rest when they sit on a Vyper Chair for the first time.
Not only is the foot rail great for improving posture, but it also plays a vital role to help with stability and prevent you from tipping over. Current chairs are built extremely slim (which is fine and dandy for storing purposes), but extremely dangerous for tipping concerns. The foot rail on the Robust Steel Max helps tremendously to prevent tipping when you glide back and forth across your garage.

QUICK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
We've all been there when the cheap hydraulic cylinder on our crappy chair fails. Next thing you know, you're laying on the floor.
We put an end to that by designing a height adjustment method using a mechanical design to reduce the failure rate.
This design allows you to quickly adjust the height of your chair within seconds. All you have to do is use two hands to lift up under the seat to raise. To drop down, simply put one hand under the seat and pull the lever to adjust to your desired height.
This height adjustment method is great for those that have to adjust their height more frequently throughout the day.
ACME ROD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
This height adjustment method uses a design that's been used for hundreds of years: the acme rod.
The Acme Rod is a proven (also mechanical) design that has an extremely low failure rate.
To increase the height using this method, simply twist the seat to go up and twist it the opposite way to go down.
This method comes with a locking clamp to prevent the chair from spinning while rolling.

What is the weight capacity?
All of our chairs are built with American Made with 3/16" laser cut steel arms, constructed to support up to 400 lbs.
What is the adjustable height?
Robust Steel Max - Quick Height: adjustable from 19" to 24"
Robust Steel Max - Acme Rod: adjustable from 15" to 24"
Will the wheels scuff my flooring?
All Vyper Chairs are equipped with 4" industrial grade casters made out of a polyurethane material.
Therefore, our wheels will not scuff your flooring.
What is your warranty?

How wide is the seat?
The seat to all Vyper Chairs is 14" wide.
If you require a wider seat, please see our Big Boy attachment that is attachable to any model (besides the Low-Pro model).
Difference between acme rod & quick height?
The Acme Rod adjustment utilizes an acme rod to adjust the height, meaning to increase or decrease the height, you simply spin the seat for adjustment.
The Quick Height adjustment allows you to quickly adjust the height of your Vyper Chair by simply lifting up on both sides of the seat. To decrease the height, simply hold the bottom of the seat and pull the lever to adjust to your desired height.
What is the lead time?
For standard chairs (no custom logo), lead times are 1-5 business days.
For chairs with a custom embroidered logo, lead times are 7-14 business days.

Is this good for an office chair?
Yes, the Robust Steel Max is a desirable choice for an Office Chair. We recommend selecting the Acme Rod adjustment if it's being used in an office environment.
